After the good response, Tata Motors has received for the Nexon’s Kraz Edition last year, it has decided to launch the Kraz limited edition variant again this year, in time for the festive season. It is priced at Rs 7.57 lakh for the Kraz manual and Rs 8.17 lakh for the Kraz+, which is the automatic option.
The original Kraz edition launched last year had neon green/yellow accents, but this time around Tata has chosen tangerine as the color to accent the Nexon with. It will have a black body and silver roof, but have tangerine mirrors, wheel accents, and grille insert – and it will have the ‘Kraz’ badge on the boot lid. Inside, it has tangerine accents to the seat fabric and the air vents, and Tata has opted for a gloss black finish for the dashboard, door, and console, and for the steering wheel’s accents.

Mechanically there are no changes to the Nexon. Engine options continue to be a 108bhp, 170Nm 1.2-litre Revotron petrol or a 108bhp 260Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine. Gearbox options for both engines are a six-speed manual or a six-speed AMT automatic gearbox. The Kraz edition Nexon sits just above the ‘XM’ variants of the regular Nexon and below the ‘XT’ variants on price.
The Nexon competes in the sub-4m SUV space with the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Honda WR-V. It has made a very strong case for itself as one of the safest options for a consumer after being the first India-make car to garner a five-star Global NCAP crash safety rating.
