Datsun Go and Datsun GO+ automatic variants will be revealed this month.
Go and Go+ automatic variants to be launched in October 2019.
It will get a CVT, same as the one on the Micra.
Datsun is scheduled to unveil automatic variants of the GO and GO+ soon. This move is being made as more and more customers in cities are switching their preference to an automatic transmission.
The automatic variants of the GO and GO+ are expected to get a CVT transmission, which is the same transmission fitted to the Micra. This will be a good fit for the GO twins, as they run the same engine that the Micra does. However, the transmission will be recalibrated for the different characteristics of the Datsuns – namely, lighter kerb weight and lower rev limit for the engine. The power and torque figures for the 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine is 67bhp and 104Nm. The cars are currently available with a five-speed manual transmission. They will also probably get badging and a few cosmetic additions to distinguish them from their manual gearbox fitted siblings.
