Toyota India has launched the Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition at a starting price of Rs 33.85 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The launch of the special edition also commemorates the 10 years of the SUV in the Indian market. Being firstly introduced in 2009, the company has sold more than 1.60 Lakhs units of Toyota Fortuner to date and it has been the segment leader with close to 60 percent share. The Toyota Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition bookings start today across dealerships.

Being designed and developed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD), Toyota Fortuner TRD ‘Celebratory Edition’ is offered in 4X2 automatic diesel trim only. It gets several cosmetic enhancements in form of front & rear bumper, Red TRD logo with radiator grille garnish, dual-tone roof, and 18-inch Charcoal Black alloy wheels. The SUV is finished in pearl white with attitude black dual-tone exterior. Inside the cabin, it has sporty dual-tone upholstery in Black and Maroon with leather seats. In addition, red color stitching accents grace the upholstery with Fortuner ‘10 years ‘Leadership Emblem. Some of the features include Cruise control, Audio, MID, Tel, Voice Recognition Switches on Steering Wheel, SMART Entry and Push Start/Stop, Automatic Climate Control with Auto Rear Cooler, 8-way Driver & Passenger Power Seat, Touch Screen Audio with Capacitive Switches, etc.
Toyota Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition also comes with several premium safety features as standard such as Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Brake Assist (BA), 7 SRS Airbags, Front Seats with WIL Concept, Child Restraint ISOFIX system and Tether Anchor on 2nd Row, Front Row Seatbelts with Pretensioner and Force Limiters, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), ABS with EBD, Speed Auto Lock with Emergency Unlock and Emergency Brake Signal. Mechanically, it is powered by the same 2.8L 4-cylinder diesel engine which generates maximum power output of 174bhp at 3400rpm and peak torque performance of 450Nm between 1600-2400rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission with a sequential & paddle shift. In addition, the Automatic Idling Stop/Start Function also comes as standard.
