Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo gets several exquisite exterior enhancements.
While the Indian market is yet to see Skoda Kamiq on roads, the company has gone a step ahead and unveiled its Monte Carlo variant at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA). Needless to say, Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo Edition gets cosmetic updates in the form of sporty exteriors and new features in the cabin. It is expected to go on sale by the end of 2019 in the European and American markets. As for India, Skoda is believed to be launching the Kamiq SUV in 2020 as well as its Monte Carlo trim.
Skoda Kamiq had its world premiere at the 2019 Beijing Auto Show, a few months back. Now, the company has added the prestigious Monte Carlo badge to the SUV range. First things first, the ‘Monte Carlo’ moniker goes back to 1936 when Skoda took part in the Monte Carlo rally and secured podium finish with the second position while no one had expected it to perform so well. Hence, Skoda started using this badge for its high-performance vehicles to date. Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo Edition comes with several visual updates in form of the glossy black front grille, LED headlamps, roof rails, glossy black side skirts, ORVM caps, glossy black rear diffuser, LED tail-lamp cluster and ‘Skoda’ lettering on the tailgate in glossy black. In addition, it also gains a panoramic sunroof and tinted windows as standard.
