Not many people in India have heard about the Citroen brand. However, the French carmaker is planning to introduce the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV in India by the end of next year. Strategy wise, the Citroen C5 Aircross is not the ideal SUV for India because Indians prefer the Compact SUV. The Citroen C3 Aircross should be a better choice.
The Citroen C3 Aircross compact SUV has a futuristic design. Two-color tones are on offer. It is the ideal SUV for India because of its compact stance. However, the vehicle would require minor modifications to its design to suit the Indian market.
The length of the Compact SUV needs reduction to avail the benefits available to SUVs under 4 meters. The car has a unique design that appears squarish. The Citroen C3 Aircross interiors are of high quality with excellent features.
The panoramic sunroof is a welcome feature, and so is the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other exciting features include a mirror screen, wireless charging, and a heads-up display.
The SUV sports spacious interiors with a massive boot capable of holding 620L.
The SUV comes with three and four-cylinder engine options. The 3-cylinder petrol engine delivers a power of 110hp. The engine mates with either a 5/6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission system.
The Citroen C3 Aircross driving experience shows it to be a compact car with high-quality equipment. An Indian launch will require specific changes that could also make for aggressive pricing. However, there is no other compact SUV in the Indian market that can match up to the Citroen C3 Aircross as on date.
