Tata showed a 61 percent growth in sales from Sept to Oct 2019.
Year on year growth is still negative, in line with the market trend.
Biggest discount on the Hexa, at Rs 1.1 lakh.
The smallest discount of Rs 45,000 on the Tiago.
Tata Motors’ sales figures showed encouraging growth month on month, from August to September. This is expected, as it leads to the beginning of the festival season. However, the amount of increase was significant, at 61 percent.
The year on year growth is still negative, however, in line with market trends. Tata wants to keep the sales momentum going into the festive season, and thus is still offering big discounts across its range. We list the discounts below.
The biggest discount is on the biggest vehicle from Tata passenger cars, the Hexa. The Hexa is scheduled to be taken off shelves before the BS Vl emissions requirement comes into effect, so Tata is offering a total of Rs 1.1 lakh off on it, which includes a cash discount, exchange bonus, and a corporate discount. The Hexa is available with either six or seven-seat configurations, and you can even opt for an automatic gearbox.
Tata Safari Storme
The Safari Storme is another model that is to be discontinued just like the Hexa, and it gets a total benefit of Rs 75,000 which includes cash discounts, an exchange bonus, and a corporate discount. You’ll love this if you value its rugged go-anywhere ability but don’t mind its old-school ride and handling. Unfortunately, there is no automatic gearbox even as an option on the Safari Storme.
Another model that doesn’t offer an automatic gearbox is the Tata Harrier, even though it is quite modern. That’s one of the reasons why Tata is compelled to offer it with an eye-catching Rs 70,000 benefit, including an exchange bonus and corporate discount.
The Bolt is one of the older generation of models that Tata has, although not as old as the Safari Storme. However, with so much choice available in the market, there aren’t many takers. That’s why it has just as much off as the Harrier, at Rs 70,000. That’s a straight-up cash discount for both petrol and diesel versions.
The Zest, Tata’s compact sedan, is also being offered with Rs 70,000 off. This is applicable to all its versions, whether petrol or diesel or manual or automatic.
The Tigor is being offered with Rs 62,000 worth benefits, including a cash discount, exchange bonus and a corporate discount. There is both a petrol and diesel engine available, although there is no automatic gearbox option for the diesel.
The Nexon is being offered with Rs 52,500 worth of benefits. It sells decently well but competition is the stiffest in its segment – and a facelift is on its way in 2020 as well. The diesel, being more expensive, is being offered with a slightly higher discount than the petrol variants.
Finally, the Tiago is being offered with Rs 45,000 off, depending upon the variant. The diesel gets the better offer than the petrol, though, as Tata looks to discontinue it before the new emission norms kick in.
